Hey all I just noticed something that I found this weekend. While putting on the injectors again and bolting everything down, I hooked up my BLT and went to hook up air pressure and the intake track wouldn't hold any pressure. The gauge continuously read 0 psi and would not budge. Now I checked for leaks and have found none. I have checked and even if the crank is not at TDC for the test it should still hold some pressure (even 5-10psi would be fine at this point LOL) so my question is, is there just a massive leak somewhere that I just cannot hear? or was I maybe a tad rougher on my BL tester than I should have been? Thanks guys!

It sounds just like airing up a tire, and if it was a leak of that size I would think I would hear something. It probably is the gauge, I used a cheapo .99$ tire check gauge from a local parts store, but I didn't even think of that. Good advise crash :D

Cheapo gauges work....but not great. Getting an ok gauge will at least make it easier. Also make sure the compressor has a large enough tank. You probably want at least a 5 gallon.

Now I checked for leaks and have found none.

Without doing a BLT?

Now when I say didn't find any leaks, meaning I listened for any leaks with air pressure connected and did not hear any. The air tank I have is a 10gal tank set at about 25-30psi through the regulator.

As for checking the boost gauge, it has been pegged at 0 for the last few months since I started tearing shit apart. Hope that clears up some confusion.

Do you have a check valve in the vacuum line that goes to the brake booster?

At one point, I had just a regular hose going from the intake manifold to the brake booster and blew it out causing a massive boost leak and the same boost leak test results you are having.

It took me 3 days to find it.
