Guys,

Take a look at this intercooler kit from Pro Street Online and tell me what you think. I am looking at the 2G Street Kit.

2G Street Kit:
It comes with the 2-120 Spearco Core, Bov (Tial Or Greddy), all piping (Short Route) and all connectors with T-Bar Clamps. I like the Street Kit because you can keep fog lights. It looks like a pretty good setup to me, but I would like some other opinions.

thanks in advance

That looks like a pretty good kit, however, i would be sure that you look into the numbers. i.e. pressure drop, efficiency, etc. Personally i reccomed the APEX'i intercooler cores. The cross fin design is awesome, and they have the numbers to back them. However, they do not come as a kit, it is up to the buyer to get piping/endtanks taken care of. But when it is all said and done, it is an excellent setup. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.

I believe both of the kits are shown, just look at width.

Drag = Spearco 2-216
Street = Spearco 2-120

Those cores are pretty reputable cores, as far as I know.

...correct me if I'm wrong, but the Tial BOV can only vent to atmosphere.....not exactly ideal unless you're using a VPC or something of the sort so you're not losing metered air, right?

Is this related to the intercooler discussion that's going on in this thread? Not trying to be an ass, but I just wanted to make sure this doesn't get off topic.

So with the street core, u need to get rid of the front bumper and with the strip core you just need to trim it, am i correct?

You dont have to get rid of the front bumper with either core. You trim with both of them.

I talked to Pro Street yesterday, and they said that they have made some modifications to the Strip Kit (Spearco 2-216), that will now allow you to keep the stock fog lights.

Sorry for the stupid question, but with that kit, how will the intake hook up? Most intakes have a tube that goes to the uicp. Do you need a vpc with it? Thanks.

huh?......maybe I'm just confused on what you're sayin'..............but you don't need a vpc.

I ordered a street kit...expecting it any day now! They swapped out the Tial for a Greddy Type S so I can recirculate. I'll let you know what I think of it!

Here's my problem. With that kit, how would an afrermarket intake like a dejon tool intake work? Those intakes have a tube that comes off for the bov. This kit does not look like it would fit. Thanks everyone.

PS Sorry for the stupid questions.

PS Sorry for the stupid questions.

If you are talking about the Upper Intercooler Pipe(thats what the stock bov flanges onto), then you would not be using it with there kit because there piping replaces it. The intake on our cars is what comes off the compressor side of the turbo and the leads to the air filter.

Check the 2g intakes on dejontool.com. There is a small tube that comes off the main pipe. Where would this hook up 2?

That connects to the valve cover breather. Sometimes there are 2 tubes and the other one connects to the charcoal canister.

actually i heard you can vent the tial ..... we'll find out im not standalone so....
Pro-street called me asking where my turbo outlet was so they could make the pipe work... kinda cool of them to do semi custom stuff like that.... i cant wait for it to help my 60-1 ^_^

My kit arrived today.....a really good looking, high quality kit! I'll be installing this weekend....I'll let you know how that goes and how it performs!
