Avid racing auto trans kit

I just received my new Avid racing 75A motor mount kit for the automatic transmission just a few hours ago from punishment racing.

According to Avid racing this time around it should be a hassle free installation; I will see if this is indeed true sometime next week when I have my day off from work.

I will get back to you guys and let you all know how the installation goes and if theres is any issues that you guys should be aware of.

I hope so too . I will find out for sure in a few days. shouldn't be as bad as my friend's built 83 ford F15....... well at least I hope not .

Wouldn't adding all those make your car shake like crazy? I had a solid front mount and all the rest stock and my car shake too much for my comfort

Hmm well I'll find out soon enough. Whatever polyurethane material they used doesn't seem to be rock solid or as hard as the material used in the energy suspension mount inserts; so it should dampen some of the vibration without creating some super crazy rattle.

update!!

Just finished up installing my Auto DSM Avid mounts . Installation was hastle free and evrything lined up just perfect without needing to mod anything(even installed an new fuel filter while I was putting on my rear mount ).

The car does vibrate more that the OEM mounts but of course it was expected; not as teeth shattering as gofer thought they would be . If I were to compare the vibration to the prothane mounts I would say that its actually less.

This by far has been one of the best upgrades I have done to my car

These and some torque solutions driveshaft bushings for an awd are a must. It really makes that car feel solid.

I'm anxiously awaiting the 1g version of these.

The 5-speed guys have no idea of what they are missing.

I own manual and auto DSMs. I can tell you that they are like two completely different cars. I love both for what they are, but I have been very hesitant to install the prothane mounts in my auto cars , simply for the harshness that the mounts seem to create in my manual cars. I trash the stock mounts in no time at all and have been looking for some kind of replacement that will live longer and not kill my ride quality.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make them for the 1g, too!

Well its kinda hard to say exactly how long it would take to install them since we were working on 2 other cars, running around buying parts for the other cars, eating , But I would say that if evrything goes right and you have the tools it shouldn't take any longer than 2-3 hours.

I got them from Punishment racing for $325 shipped. The reason I went with them is because they gave me great customer service and went thru all of the trouble of finding them for me when other vendors didn't even bothered replying to my messages .

Now I need to get a set of these no doubt but $ is tight at the moment so it looks like I'll playing the wait game.
