2G manifold/16G Turbo, exhaust gaskets?

Hi guys (and those few ladies out there!). I have a 2G manifold on my 1G DSM. It also has a 16 Turbo installed. It was like this when I bought it. I have noticed a slight exhaust leak in that area. I then tightened all bolts on the exhaust manifold and turbo to proper specs. The leak is still there. It looks like maybe the gaskets on the turbo could be bad.

Also the exhaust manifold has dark carbon looking deposit around the bolts leading me to believe that should be replaced too.

My question is are most of the gaskets universal for the turbo or are some brand specific? Where is the best place to get them?

Since you have the 2g exhaust manifold you have to buy the 2g gasket. You may have to rim it a little to get it to fit in the one corner, but nothing major. For the gasket that goes getween the manifold and the exhaust housing, I would order either a 6cm or a 7cm gasket. I'm not positive about the size here, but I'm sure someone will know. Next time you post, try to find out if it's a big 16 or a small 16.

Don't be surprised of you break some of the bolts when taking off the exhaust manifold. Get some extras just to be sure.

It's regular 16G turbo, so here is what I am am probably looking at:

For the manifold gasket it must be a 2G, and must be trimmed to fit the 1G block.

The gasket between the turbo and the manifold should be a basic gasket for the 16G. (Non-brand specific)

Any one else have suggestions as to which gaskets to buy?
