Did the 93-94 Galant VR-4s have 6bolts?

Its hard to find out any info about them, and im looking into a Galant RS model off a 94, want to make sure its a 6bolt, or if it followed with the other dsms and went to a 7.

or better, do they run the risk of walking like a 2g 7bolt, cause I know the EVO 7bolts havent run into the problem as consistently as a 2g Turbo dsm

okay no but the RS Versions of the Galant VR-4 were, this was Japan only of course. Big 16g, 510cc injectors... yeah and I may have the opportunity to buy one and just need to know

okay, but will my "chances" be about the same of walking than my current motor? I know the answer is its possible for every car, but have u heard of many cases with them walking?

Crankwalk is mainly a 95 thing. All the other models have less crank problems.

If your going to the trouble of swaping in an engine, why not go with the big rod motor.

Very few J specs I have seen came with the yellow tops. And if you get a 6 bolt it will probably be out of an automatic gvr4 which means it has had an easier life.

Is so NOT!!! As a matter of fact, very early '95's have very few problems with crankwalk.

Most crankwalking cars tend to be '95 and '97, the reason being those were the years when they sold the most cars. But all of '95-'97 short blocks are basically the same. In '98 they switched to a new thrust bearing design, but there are reports of crankwalk with this new thrust bearing as well. Just like with 93/94, 98/99 cars are pretty rare, so it is difficult to come up with any type of statistically significant sample.
