i am looking for some info about doing a mustang throttle body swap and need some help. i have heard of it but can seam to find any good literature on it thanks Joe

You can run a Mustang TB but it is in no way a bolt on procedure. You usually give up the use of your idle air control sensor which sucks on a daily driven car or a car that still has AC. The Mustang TB should be one of the last mods on your list. After your are well into the 11s then I would START to consider maybe changing the tb.

A guy locally is using one with his sheetmetal intake. I guess after you get used to it, it would be okay, but it definately sux in stop and go traffic. This isn't his daily driver, so its tolerable for him.

Listen to rdrkt. A Mustang TB is not a bolt on affair, simple as that. That's one of the last modifications you will ever need. But for those that are really looking to go all out and swap to a Mustang TB (and know what they are getting into), give Victory Performance a call and order an Accufab TB. Retail price is around $250 for an Accufab 75mm Mustang TB.

On the FMS and BBK TBs yes they have. Some of the breakage has to do with setting the throttle stop just right and some of it has to do with the crappy product. However the accufab unit has been track proven not to break under high boost situations.

cool thanks for the info i think im gonna h ave to put the mods on hold for a few i think i blew the motor at lunch and am going to have to explain to the wife thanks any ways

How did you deal with the TPS issue?

Can't you use the IAC from a mustang?

Acutally, no, you do not.

You obviously would use a Ford TPS sensor and wire it into the DSM harness, im sure that you would be able to purchase the TPS piigtail from any Ford parts dept., as for the ISC motor and the idle switch....well TMO has some nice Throttle body mods which set the idle at around 950 or whichever you choose. I would try getting ahold of TMO before you do something drastic and buy a standalone.
