Dual Gas Tanks in 1g???

i was thinking about installing a 10 gallon fuel cell (for pump gas) with an a1000 fuel pump...and installing a Y fitting before the pump and install a 1 gallon or 2 gallon fuel cell (for race gas) and install shutoffs on all 4 feed and return lines. This i can drive to the track on pump gas turn the shutoffs and then i can run race gas. Anyone ever do this? How hard would it be?
 
I had seriously considered this for a long time. Going to the track twice a week makes pumpiung the tank out twice/trip get old really fast. The best way I could come up with to do this, though not the cheapest, is to use two bypass valves meant for mechanical fuel pump safety rules. Barry Grant makes them, and they're around 70 bucks each IIRC. No cheap, you'd need two. But it would be the simplest, cleanest install. Regular earls shut off valves are 35 bucks and you'd need four, so perhaps it's not even that much more money. I was planning to put the valves under the car behind the rear tire so you can just reach under and make the switchover so the hatch doesn't turn into a sloppy clusterscrew of fuel lines and valves. You could also use a on-off-on switch as your pump selector, which if mounted in a strategic location, could double as an anti theft device. Etc...

Edit> Just realized that you mean to run the A1000 with both tanks. I would recomend using a typical 255 or whatever in tank for daily driving. The A1000s are absurdly loud (loud enough in my RWD to make me want to go with a mechanical pump, not even taking into consideration the ridiculous electrical draw and relatively weak flow rate for what you have to deal with) and don't seem to work reliably as a daily driver pump. Hence the suggestion above for the pump selector switch. Valve in the pump you want to use, and divert power to it with the on-off-on switch. Hope that makes sense.
