Hi,

I am going to get a 97-99 gsx and was wondering a couple of things. Who makes better blow off valves; HKS, Blitz, Greddy , or Tial. Are the venom intake manifolds good, or are their better ones?

greddy is not the only choice as a good blow off valve.. HKS SSQV (Super Sequential) is also a good choice.. it can hold 20+psi of boost.. noted to have the best sound vented to the atmosphere.. and ability to recirculate if needed..

also.. turboxs and a 1g bov are also good choices.

Hi,
I am looking into getting a 97-99 gsx. When I get it I will put on a ACT clutch, B&M shortshifter, autometer vac./boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge and 5 inch monster tach, a HKS Racing blowoff valve type II(probably), a RNR full 3" turbo back exhaust, ported stock exhaust manifold, a MBC, a Venom intake manifold, rewire kit for fuel pump, MSD sparkplug wires, a MSD 6A ignition control box, hopefully a MSD ignition coil , a Dejontool intake, HKS cams and cam gears, an unorthadox ss underdrive pulley set, Front Mount Intercooler, and hopefully a chip. Do I have to upgrade my fuel system (pump, regulator, rail, filter, and injectors) to cover these mods or can I do it after I do these mods before I upgrade my turbo and get an electronic boost controler. I was also wondering which is better for my application, the HKS racing blowoff valve type II or the SSQV blow off valve for my upgrades. I was also wondering the same about which cam shaft I should use. What MBC should I get. After I do these mods, I plan on upgrading the fuel system, then getting a EBC turbo upgrade and building my engine.

Thanks,
Bill
