Phillip Long 2 Step Rev Limiters

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

here is what I found about them......

"This is the genuine 2-step made and supported by Phillip Long. We are now stocking his wonderful product for immediate delivery. First thing you should know about this is that it is a sinch to install: 4 wires into your ECU & you are done. This kit comes complete with instructions that will allow you to build up to 6 PSI of boost in a stock twin turbo 6 speed car at the start line. Single turbo cars will vary but can build up to 9 PSI. This device basically does away with the need for NOS off the line. When activated, you simply hold your throttle to the floor and the 2-step rev. limiter will do the rest at the preset RPM level you choose. You can use either a hand switch or switch off the clutch pedal to disable the 2-step when you launch the car."

I wonder if they would work in a DSM. It seems alot of Supra owners use them (at least that's all I could find). If it would work that would be nice......they're about 100.00 bucks less than an MSD.

And it's only got four wires to hook it up. I don't see why I wouldn't work. It's just like an MSD.......well, as far as the "stutterbox" option goes. Plus it's only 200.00 bucks......hmm.......

How about this you buy one hook it up and tell me if it works!

Yes it will improve you launch....not only can you launch WITH boost but it's alot easier to keep it at a certain RPM with one.

I was going to get a MSD but maybe I'll save 100.00 for something else and buy this one........

I really interesting to get one in order to improve my lunching, I just need more information. So, I already emailed horsepowerfreaks asking for more details about the limiter & if it will work in DSM cars as in supras?. But still no reply.

Is anyone using this on a DSM?

There are much better options IMO. You can get the knock off tmo chips for less than 100 dollars. For 2g guys, DSM link will add a whole lot of other cool stuff like logging, fuel and timing controls. Or like boostin said the msd box would be a good choice if you already had an afc.

With the tmo you also have a rolling rev limiter so you can leave your foot on the gas and the ecu will cut the fuel. It is going to be availiable with dsmlink v2.
