okay So im driving my car the other night
and i ran 2nd out i look down and see that my stock oil Gauge is Not reading anything it is below the L . so i freak out and shut the car off
pull over and then turn around and drive back home (just a few Blocks away)
i let the car idle and pulled the Oil cap off and oil came out so it seems like oil is still moving around and when i was geting on it. It felt fine the temp never went up and it pulled normally so could it just be a bad sensor or somthing??? what do i need to check first???

I would check you oil pressure sending unit's, Im not sure about the 2g's but the 1g's have two of them. One works that gauge and the other works the dummy light on the dash. So on a 1g if the gauge is laying really low, and the dummy light is on, then you have a problem. If the gauge isn't working but the light isn't on then it could be a bad pressure sender. I hope this helps

Yea on the 2g's there is 2 sending units. one 4 the guage other for the dummy light. On my car i had the same thing happen. Ended up being just one of the wires on the sending unit came unplugged. So i would definatly check that first. Just look under the car by the oil filter and see if a wire is hanging down if it is, mine was the one that just slides on to the end of this big round deelly on the front end of the filter houseing. Sorry i don't no the technical term for it and i don't have a digital camera to show u.

I bet this is the problem. Mine falls off about once every two weeks. I need to fab something up so I don't have to keep pulling over thinking I have no pressure.

yeah it was that sending unit or whatever
it came unpluged thanks for the help!!!!!
