Broke my dip stick housing, where can I find a replacement?

Well, like the title says the old one broke and I need to find a new 6-bolt (unsure if they're universal or not) dip stick housing to replace it with. If anyone knows where I can go about finding one I would appreciate it, even a part number will do. Thanks in advance.

I saw them thanks, but I think that they sell only the dipstick itself. The tube is what im really after but it woulnd't hurt to have a new dipstick either. Anyone know if the tube housings are universal i.e. I can get one from summit?

Listen to Steve and get NEW parts.I have seen dipstick housings so rusted that you would not want one on your car.Mark

LOL, I wasn't trying to say get new parts but these parts are so cheap that it's hardly worth going to the junkyard for them. The guide is $15 list, the dipstick $16 list, and a buck for the o-ring. I do think getting a new o-ring is prudent. Online you can pick up all three for less than $25.

My thoughts exactly, hell the reason mine broke was due to the rust and other corrosion built up on it.

Just go Junk Yardin, its one of my favorite past times. LOL

Don't I know it, I find myself there sometimes for no reason other than to shoot the bull with those guys  . But as stated earlier, the tubes on most cars are rusted to hell.

Excellent work Steve I have to thank you for relaying those part numbers, they were the only thing I couldn't find. And would also like to say that I couldn't agree more with what you said concerning the price to justifying a trip to the yard , only to find a part that I might break again trying to remove.

I know this is pushing the bill but the last thing that I will ask is a site that I might be able to find the parts, or would it be best to go to the dealership for this one?

Thank you for all your help

Considering where your located Rockvlle Mitsubishi is a great place to order parts from. I buy all the stuf I don't need right this second from them since they give a better discount than the 15% I get from the local dealer.

Steve where you been all my life bud? Excellent reference, wish I would have known about that before. I sent them an e-mail for those parts and I'll report back to this thread as soon as I hear from them. Once again thank you.
