Do any of you know what thread size the Banjo Bolt is on a stock 2G fuel filter? I'm upgrading my fuel system and need one more piece. I'm looking for a metric to -AN adapter fitting. Thanks for the help.

Just a thought, but I bet a Hydraulics store has that fitting. They usually have them in the right material also. Might want to check it out.

he asked for the size, not where to buy them. a hydraulic store wouldnt keep engine part sizes in their records.

1g is 12x1.25 i think..prolly the same.

dont qoute me on that though, might be a 12x1.5

Oops, forgot to put that in there.... 12 X 1.25 is what it is if I recall.
Most places including the dealer won't know the size either... without having the filter there to check the size themselves.

the dealer will definitely have the size. i was just at a dealer and there is a full drawing of the engine with every nut and bolt, then if you enter the bolt number, it tells you the size. a dealer will positively have the exact size specs.

That's what I think as well. I did take it to the hardware store and sized it. I just wanted to make sure I had the correct size before I purchased anything. Thats why I posted.

Just so you guys know summitracing and jegs have really good deals on all AN fittings. You just have to know what to ask for. The popular size that they care is a 12mm x 1.50 to -6AN adapter and of course the 12 x1.25 to -6AN is a pain in the arss to find. At least know I know for sure. Thanks again guys.

It's all good, I am suprised the dealer you went to actually is able to look that stuff up, most of them act like it would be impossible to figure it out.

Well actually I went out to an ACE hardware store in the area to see if I could figure out what size it was... and yes, they were stumped to see an automotive banjo bolt. ..... I'm sorry sir but we don't carry automotive parts, you might want to try an autozone or pepboys. Yeah ok guy....Just show me to your nuts and bolts section and I'll take it from there.

I matched it to a 12mm x 1.25 but I wanted to see if the threads matched a 12mm x 1.50 bolt (which ACE did not have) just to be safe since the 1.50 seems to be a very popular size.

All dealerships as stated have the capability to look up every part on the car its just the fact of trying to get someone who actually likes his/her job to take time to help a customer out.

True. The service guys that will not help you unless you provide them with a VIN number are generally the ones that don't like thier jobs.

just hold the 12x1.25 bolt up to the banjo bolt from your car and see if the threads fit in eachother..if they do then thats the size...im like 99% sure that its a 1.25 though. i was told it was a 1.5 and had to take it back.

Thats exactly what I did. But I also wanted to compare it to a 12x1.5 bolt which was unavailable. However, the threads seem to match up pretty well with a 12x1.25 bolt. In addition, the popular AN to metric adapter seems to be a 12x1.5 and no one seems to make a 12x1.25 to AN adapter.
