ok i realize that 6 bolt 1g motors are way better than a 2g 7bolt period but when i picked up my 90 laser, the head was supposed to need replacing... so i took it off and found that the pistons were scorred up really bad which leaves a possability that the bears and rods are messed up. So i went ahead and got this realy good deal from a guy i know that sold me the head (like new condition), a polished crank, 7 bolt block bored .30 over with eagle rods, and ross pistons.. water pump.. oil cooler etc. The question is, has ne one else ever done something liket this? i need to know what to look out for besides crank walking. It kind of scares me that im putting a 7bolt into my90 laser but its all i have the money for ( that and this motor is rated to handle over 600 hp) Any comments, opinions, or help is appreciated! thanks
