thoughts on T28 turbo?

thanx to that damn search i cant search for the T28 turbo...so what do you think about it?

how much more top end does it have then the T25? is it worth it to buy it or just get a FP green or something? and one more....what is the max boost/hp i could get out of one?
 
Serch for T28* and it will display your results. I personally would never use it since I doesn't the power I'm looking for.

The FP Green and T28 are totally different. I wouldn't even compare them in the same thread.
 
I like my T28 it is pretty sweet i guess its been tested up to 27 psi, but im not really shure, it helps out alot on top end i think iven never been into a car with a big 16g in it but i know there alike....
 
t-28's are good. but the t-28 is just an alternative to buying a 16g if one just wants a direct bolt on option. some places sell kits to install the mitsu turbos on 2g's. when my t-25 went, i had a 14b laying around, i clocked the compressor side, removed the locking pin, and had a muffler shop cut and turn the bolt on elbow on the turbo so it lines up with the lower ic pipe(greddy) perfectly. i reused the water lines and the oil line just needs a 1/4" tube to 7/16" pipe fitting($0.99) with teflon tape to make a good seal, got the oil return line from a 1g then i was done. i went that route cause a turbo always goes when your mortgage is due or something. cost me $30 gaskets and all to bolt it on. however, if i were you, just go with a big 16g or bigger, if you got that kind of money, just buy the install kit, some places require that if you want a warranty with your turbo. a new trend i heard is the use of ihi turbos on dsm's. they are oriented the same way as mitsu's being that the cartridge is fastened to the exhaust housing by a similar type of clamp. the ihi's are supposed to be more efficient, that's what the evo's are running now, but i'm going to do a little more research on em.
