I've been searching the archives and I really haven't found what I'm looking for. What's the best way to clean G2 headlights? Is there a compound? I'm not so sure I want to put them in the oven? What's the consensus best way to get those things clean?

Thanks.

If cleaning G2 headlights is anything like cleaning 2G headlights then I don't think you tried all that hard, and are making it harder for others by thinning the success of future searches by asking a question that's been asked countless times before.

Search on: headlight cleaning

You'll have more then enough information to find your answer. Even easier, just follow this thread below which makes reference to another instance of a previously answered question regarding headlight cleaning

Search Result

If that doesn't address it, then you may need to be more specific in your question asked.

Note, I'm not trying to be rude, but this is a simple topic to search on. Hopefully you will find what you are looking for.

Thanks,

Ok, maybe you didn't read my original message stating that I had been searching the archives already and couldn't find what I was looking for. I don't want to take the headlights out, I don't want to sand them, all I wanted to know was if there was a simple way, IE a solution or a compound that could be used to clean them.

Go to your nearest Pep Boys or Autozone and buy a little tub of Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish. Thats stuff works wonders on the 1G headlights, so I dont see why it wouldnt work on 2G's.

You could try buffing them in place. Protect the paint. Any of the 1G techniques will be the same, they're the same kind of polycarbonate.
If the fogging, dirt, or buildup is on the inside, you'll have to remove them and open them up to get them cleaned.
