You'll have to remove the fog light with the bracket attached. It's next to impossible to remove just the fog lights. Those screws are bonded in place and strip out too easy.

Those bastards are Stainless Steel Screws too - Hell to drill - you'll end up drilling in the plastic - Morf is right - get a shorty wrench - a 1/4 drive ratchet or a flex 3/8 ratchet - 12MM head on 3 bolts each side & suck it up!

BTW, a couple of us have gone with the Walmart Fogs - $20 - 55W - glass lenses - assorted shapes, sizes, colors, ($40 at ripoff Advance) - Cut the connectors off the old Fogs & attach them to the new fogs with Heat Shrink lugs - the round Clear ones (w/pretty blue ricey bulbs) are in my Gallery...

Yup I went with the wal-mart fogs. Although I didnt get the blue bulb ones, the ones I got are the same shape as the stock ones only a lot smaller and look 100% better. I did as BUCK said and used the old connectors.

I had abosolutly no problem getting my old fogs out. From what I hear I am one lucky SOB.

The stock fogs are a b-otch to remove. I tried taking them out in my old GSX and I just gave up. Now on my Talon I have some Pilot Clear Lens fog lights that look like the stock ones but only smaller. I had a cool idea to buy the Silvania Silver Star bulbs in H3. I replaced the stock bulbs in the fogs with the Silver Star and installed the fogs. I left one stock bulb in for difference and what a difference it is. These fog lights are the brightest I've seen or had. They are soo white. Ill try to have pics of them on soon.

Aside from removing the fog lights which is a good idea and adds to the sleeper look...Consider removing your splash shield from teh inner fender, or modding it up for more air flow...Open up the lil vents or remove it all together...

theres 3 bolts on each side?? i can only find the one on the bottom. man they really dont want u to take them out do they. i like the look of the round aftermarket though so thats prolly what im gonna do once i figure out how to get these bad boys off.

You're likely going to need to remove the front facia and crash bumper to get to the top two on each side. Serious PITA.

ill tell u what u guys were way off the mark. i had those fogs off in about 5 minutes. i grabbed my drill and the right size bit and took the heads right off the screws. i did no damage to the plastic because u dont need to use that big of a bit to break the head off. after that i grabbed a pry bar and pushed a lil. peice of cake. if i ever want to put them back on all i have to do is get some screws.

Does pulling the fogs even affect the amount of air the IC gets? They don't take up that much of the vent, and with the ducting I'd about bet they hardly matter.

Good question - those 1G Fogs are actually pretty good, 35Watt & adjustable innards - But they are pretty damn big, sure can't help airflow - Although anyone who pulls them certainly needs to replace them w/ another Fog IMO just for safety reasons - That little dead area at the outer edges of center scoop works great & the stock wires still reach although I had to do a little re-routing on the passenger side.
