well, i was off work yesterday so i decided to tackle the headlight painting thing. it looks bad ass!!! i painted the just the frame thing on the inside black. sorry no pics yet. but let me tell you if you are thinking about it, it looks awesome. i also took out all the yellow stuff and put in yellow bulbs for the blinkers.

tips.......
1. patience and be careful getting em out. that was full on hard. i took out the 3 obvious bolts then yanked...and yanked...and yanked till the bottom one broke. they both broke off fine, but definately took some effort.

2. definately use the oven or some way to heat em up first. i took out all the bulbs and put them in the oven on 200 for 3-4 min and it was still hard as heck to get them appart. i suggest if you have a friend or significant other cut or scrape the glue as you pull it appart. i did it my self and it was not easy.

3. sand what you want to paint. i didn't. i just primered and painted with gloss black and it is already kinda coming off on the front. its hard to see but i noticed cause i was looking for it.

the whole job took me pretty much all day, mostly to let the paint dry a little before i put em back in. overall......it looks good and i suggest it to anyone thinking about it.

plus i think it helped me to smoke a grand am on the way home today. well, maybe they didn't help but you never know....LOL

pics we need pics man.

and i hope your turbo gst didn't need any help to outrun a grand am.

what did you do to markoff the reflective area that you didn't want to paint? looks great btw.
