GreenBelt,
This my sound super g@Y and I cant believe I actually paid money for this. But after talking to the guy at best buy. I purchased this combo. It consists of 2 lightning audio 10" subs in an enclosure and a 450 W 2 channel lightning audio amp.

Keep in mind that this is a budget system and the rest of my system includes infinitely kappa 2 way dash door and rear speakers. My JVC double din head unit with 40 W internal amp does a wonderful job of handeling the high and mid range sound.

This system sounds great mind you a competition level system does not interest me. I just needed something that sounds good with good clarity and decent bass handling. For 149 total you cant go wrong with this setup here is a pic.

edit best buy has changed the picture on the web site but this is the system -the f&F labeling.

so you have it in and it sounds good? or you old system sounds good and you are waiting to here this one?? If its in and it sounds great i should jump on that shit. I need some beat but don't want anything crazy but can't stand the lack of bass that the 1g came with or at least the bass that my car is lacking. and that seems like a damn good price at taht.

Yep not bad but I'd build my own box to fit a little nicer and be to spec for the subs.

Yes, its in and sounds awesome. Perfect for my needs hard crisp base but not the trunk shaking annoying base. perfect for the guy who wants a nice system with clear clean base but is not willing to spend a fortune on a huge high priced system. This is exactly what i was looking for.

wal-mart sells em also.. (i hate workin at Fu*kin walmart.. i got to awnser about 50000 questions a day about them subs/amp

No offense..but that setup is low-end at best. If you could seriously care less about car audio, sq, or spl....then go for it, I'm sure it will atleast "look" cool in your trunk. But to tell the truth. That amp actually puts out 50watts per channel (IF that, lightning audio is usually overrated as far as power specs go)...which is miniscule, but probably appropriate for such low-end subs. If it sounds good to you, that's all that matters...but all I'm saying is you get what you pay for, especially in car audio.

Are you completely stupid or do you not comprehend English very well. Did I not say in my first God damn post that this is a budget system.

I don't give a shit about sq. or spl, or whatever else you are talking about. Yeah it looks real cool in my trunk pin head. Only a rice brain would even pose such a stupid assumption.

I posted this review for the guy who has a 1G that has a crap system that wants something that sounds nice, with definable base. Who's focus is going fast and performance mods. Not 10 million dollar subs and amps.

But I guess you cant identify with that considering you drive a non turbo. Your only choice is a Boomin system:rolleyes:

yes it hits hard but it does not do any of that annoying drowning or rattle the trunk

this is starting to soudn more and more apealing everytime i read a post in this thread. I think i will go down to best buy today after work and check this shit out for myself. Thanks for the recomendation onthis jdmawd.

almost forgot one last question. What are the dimensions of the box i went to best buy's site and couldn't find a damn thing about the size of the box. Second what did you have to take out of your trunk for it to fit. I figured that you will have to take out the spare but is there anything else that needs to come out.

Obviously you do give a shit about those things because you mentioned all of them in previous posts.

Ever heard of sarcasm?

Wow, you nailed it right on the head...being I own a non-turbo Spyder, all I really care about is "boomin systems" and rice. Yeah. Right. I forgot you turbo guys are gods and everyone envies you.

Actually I've been into audio in general since I was about 16. I've installed countless custom systems, so I have what I would consider a well rounded knowledge of car audio equipment as well as installation and custom fabrication. Car audio is what originally got me into cars. "Booming bass" is little concern of me. I'm more into imaging, staging, and an accurate reproduction of sound.

I'm sorry you took such great offense...didn't mean to burst your little bubble. If your system sounds good to you then great...I'm sure it would sound awesome to someone who has little knowledge in the subject. Or atleast to anyone who refers to bass as "base." :thumb:

I have worked on stereos for many years, and I have alot into mine, but I guess you could say, I like the little lights from the caps and "boomin" bass alot. I have well over $3000 in mine, and I dont even have a custom box or anything. Just All Eclipse stuff, with Memphis amps. I like what I have though. If you want good stuff, and have money, go for Eclipse subs, they make a damn good sub, and a very nice speaker.

Are you stupid ... never mind apparently you are. Well, boys the ricers are biting at my ankles.

For anyone who is *not* planning to win an audio competition and is ignorant like me:rolleyes: who cant tell the difference between a crap 1g shitty system and an aftermarket decent system like what I have. Drop me a line or follow the links in my first post.

at 150 bucks its a great buy and it sounds AWESOME

Its all up to the listener right? If you like it ..fine...so why bother to fight over it.I think what the other guy mean is that its maybe a good system for someone who doesnt care all that much about sound but still want a decent system..so far so good.However..I also react to the thread cause the posts make it sound like its a really good system that will kick ass for 150 bux..Now dont get offended..I am just stating what I think when I read the post...and a 150 dollar system wont kick ass in any way. This post makeit sound like it does....
Once again..not meaning to be a di**..just stating what I read outta the post.

as in all areas..you get what ya pay for and for that amount..you only get a half decent system but I am sure it sounds better than stock crap.If you arenot into sound and audio(as syou say you are not)..I bet it will do and then its well spent money.

As long sa you are satisfied its cool with me....

jdmawd: why are you so angry? He didn't flame you in your post, just made a few remarks. I'm honestly glad that you like what you have... I'm waiting to see the pics, but your forum that you linked me to requires activation of an account, and 30 mins later, I have not received my confirmation email.

However... Pretty much anything you buy at Best Buy is garbage. That is why you only paid $150 for 2 subs, a box, and an amp... And I am not referring to the quality of sound, I am referring to reliability and quality of craftsmanship. I'm sure you don't care about the cleanliness of the amp, or the sensativity of the subs... If you have something that makes you happy, then great!

But, that isn't any reason to personally attack someone for making a general comment about your purchase. His reply was simple and informative. Your's was attacking and negative.

Let's all just grow up!

Now, my question is... how did you fit that box in your hatch??

2 sides- 1 side has no knowledge or very little of audio equipment the other has knowledge or some hefty experience....obviously when the no knowledge side ( trying not to offend, but telling the truth) says it sounds good and is crisp and hits nice, the other side with the knowledge cant help but to laugh and ask "WTF is he saying" to themselves, so it doesn't seem right to go off on them, compare it to someone throwing a "cool looking" APC (Lightining Audio is like APC basically of the audio world) air intake into their car and them saying "It makes it sound good and it works for my purpose since I'm on a budget", and i'm sure alot of you performance guys would come out and say "WTF were you thinking spending money on that", just like there saying about the "Nice" Lightning Audio system, so to the Audio World or Audio gurus your a ricer in there eyes just like they seem to be ricers in your eyes since they don't have turbos....In all I agree with EuroGSTSpyder, but not sure if I would exactly use the word "decent":p ....off topic: SniperXr2, Eclipse stuff is probably one of the best in my book good choice:thumb:

SILVER:

For anyhone with no knowledge of the audio world its a "decent" system since they like it and it will maybe sound alot beter then stock to them....Understand how I mean?
Personally I have run both complete Eclipse system and complete Audiobahn(present)....
I wouldnt go this route (post one) with a system but each to his own and as far as the owner is satisfied its all good to me.....Just dont like it when it sounds like its a "very good system" for 150bux cause its not...simple as that.
For the money it might be good...but its not a good system.Period.

Factory 1G systems sound like total garbage. I don't give a shit about performance audio at all. what I have sounds a lot better then stock. I spent a few bucks on replacement speakers and a decent head unit. 2 and 3 way speakers pick up zero bass. So I needed something that would pick up some base. the 2 10's and shitty little amp fit my needs perfectly.

My focus is making my car fast not pissing away thousand on a huge blinging system that will most likely get my car broken into. I honestly don't like super loud systems with large amounts of base. I think it sounds horrible. I have never liked systems where you can here the car before you can see it. Im quite sure there are people like myself that have Zero interest in spending thousands on a system. That want something that sounds decent.

^^^^^ yup, I'm right with you man!
I bought two Audiobahn 10's and a Jensen amp to push them for $200, and it sounded great in my Eclipse and sound's even better in my Blazer! I don't see the sense in spending $3000 on a system when your not in competition, I mean what's the use ... use the $3G's for something else! 75% of the earth's population is not in "TUNE" with car audio and could hear a $150 system and then a $3000 system and not be able to tell the difference, oh ... except that the $3G's looks nicer!
If I had 3G's to blow, I would definitely not blow it on a stereo ... I would go the route of maybe a Jet Ski! something that actually presents a little FUN!
