anyone heard of or seen this before?

ok, i remember see a really old post about someone who took off the exterior moulding of his 1g, you know, that strip that goes around the car in the middle of the door? well, has anyone ever heard of it,or have pics, i'm looking into doing it to mine... but i cant remember exactly how it looked,

It should pull right off with a little efftort, it is just like a sticky tape holding it on but alot stronger, I would not reccomend doing it though unless you plan on getting it painted under there.

ya...you will get 2 different tones of paint....the paint is only 12 years old and all

I have taken the entire molding/wing off of my 1st gen. If you do it there will be ablout 34 1/4 in. by 1/4 in square holes in the body. I counter sunk them, Cut metal fill ins, and brazed the holes shut. Pm me if you want pics or any other information on it. Hope this helps you.

Just realized you meant the molding on the lower part of the door, not the spoiler molding from the side mirrors back, my bad. But anyways i do have pics of my car pretty well torn down as it sits now.
