Hey, Guys im throwing somewhat of a system in my talon, two 10 inch alpines, with a sony amp..not much but it was only 150. anyway. In my old car, hooking up the amp was no problem at all. Power, Remote, Ground, and she'd turn right on. I cant find any place to ground my amp in my trunk of the talon...i tried the spare tire spot, even sanded the paint of it, and the amp will not turn on, where does everyone ground their amps? Im totally confused why i cant even get a spark anywhere from it..thanks. Lata

if you pull of one of the panels in the trunk then bolt a ground to the supports in there it should be fine....

Thanks for the help guys. I tried all the spots..and nothing, I blew my main fuse on the power wire during one try, so imma pick another one up tomorrow and see if thats it. But what's crazy, is i had to get my cd player professionally installed as well..guess why..the ground only worked for like 10 minutes. I paid 40 bucks for them to figure out some freaky way to do it. I really dont feel like paying more for them to install these subs and amp, but I might have to. If any of you have more info, or have had the same problem let me. Lata

my amp is under my drivers seat, and i grounded my amp by one of the bolts to the left of my cd player. I grounded my cdplayer to the bottem left of my shift knob plastic boot thing...

hmm, Im going to need to ground my amp, too (2g).. Say backseat bolts though, will i need to remove the backseat for them? ( i know it's easy as hell, i just need help finding a good ground and getting it done right the first time, ya know?)

Any other suggestions? I guess nowhere in the spare tire well will do me any good?

Thanks a load..:thumb:

Two words: Seatbelt Bolts! Get a BIG gold connector and put in under the bolt. Done. I use 4 gauge on mine, and it works great.

when i had my n/t 1g all i did was lift up the carpet in the hatch, unbolted the left bolt, sanded off the paint, popped a washer on the bolt, wrapped the ground wire around it, and bolted it down...it works like a charm, mine was a 4awg so you should have no problem. also keep it as short as possible, the shorter the better
