ive been testing numurous amounts of Tinting Sprays and i found the best kind that work. I used Pactra Racing Finish Window Tint Spray in a can, its used for RC cars...i did a couple light coats and each coat i did darker to my desired darkness

altogether it only took about 1 hour, to take off both tails, driver and passenger side, plus the center peice. Then i said..this isnt enuf.. so i did my third brake light and bumper lights..then again something was messin it all up, so i did my reverse lights..then POOF! finished result

i dont have any pics of them on, but it truely looks nice as hell, you cant tell in the pics, but i did the top blinkers darker than the rest, ill have some dusk/night time pics tommorrow, oh and cadesigns, i like your head lights, i might do that to match my tinted tails..how dim does it actually dim them...if u can show a pic of the lights faced on the road..

why would i go back to stock? it looks so bad ass like this, well to answer your question my friend said it will eventualy fade after a couple of monthes, but not by very much, he said it might also come off with figernail polish remover, but i dont plan on taking it off, if it fads then ill just hit it up with another coat or 2

the reason i ask is cuz i was thinking of doing the same to my 2g [the centerpiece.] i am either gonna paint it, or tint that mo-fo :)

i'd most likely do whatever comes off easiest [ in case i don't like the way it comes out.]

Did you try VHT Nightshades? Summit Racing has it for $19 shipped. I am maybe gonna do the centerpiece from my CF tail set b/c I custom lit the 2 red reflectors in the center just not sure how easy it would be to strip it w/out damaging the plastic if I want to change back.

does anyone know if it is legal to do that in the state of Virginia. I like the way that looks but i have enough problems with cops as it is. thanks:dsm:

Thanks,

It's called niteshades by VHT. You can get it online. There are pics in my gallery i only used 2 coats of it and then like 4 coats of clear coat. Good luck.

Does anyone have pictures of they're Nightshaded tail lights lit up a night? I'd like to see what they're like in the dark all lit up.

Nightshades is the best way to tint/smoke your lights, just make sure you get an equal amount on each light.
