Okay, so my gf accidently broke my passenger side visor. I took both off cause the previous owner had broken the driver side so it sagged alot. Well, my friend noticed i had the mirrors out and said it reminded him that he had just finished a 28" by 30" mirror of a dragon. I asked how, he said acid wash. You go to a hobby store or crafts store and pick up a small container of a solution,(dont know name atm.) and then buy some wallpaper like material. Once u have that, you put hte material over the mirror, then draw ontop of it, cut it out with an exacto knife. *BAM* idea! i drew up some pics of my mitsubishi symbol :dsm: and im gonna acid wash my mitsu logo in both mirrors! Im also going to take off my sidemirrors and put "Objects in mirror may appear to be losing"
He owns an uphlostery store and is put 3d flames on his headliner. He said he plans on cutting around the flames, reinforcing them with wood or plexiglass and putting an acid washed mirror of a Honduh sign up there. Ill post pics asap~

okay, lemme go in2 it alittle more detailed. i was high when i wrote the original msg. There's a solution u can buy at craft stores, its 15$, and there's a roll of special paper thats 6$ from those stores. I 4got the damn names, just ask for acid wash supplies. What it is is a sticky paper u put over mirror, glass, plexiglass, ect. ect. once you have it ontop of the material you draw a pic of something, for me; i drew the DSM logo. I took an exactlo knife and cut the DSM logo out of the paper which i had covering my vanity mirrors on my visors. So they were completely covered by the sticky material except for the DSM logo. Then i took the acid wash solution, squirted it ontop of the logo and wiped it off the sticky paper. Leaving the actual mirror showing in the shape of the logo. a while later i wash it with soap and water, remove the sticky paper and the sign is still on the mirror because its been literally acid'd in2 it. So instead of putting something like a sticker, i have the actual DSM logo on my mirror permantly, its irreversable but its looks great! ill post pix asap~

Isn't Acid wash what they did with pants back in the Eighties/early 90's?
