Alright i have a Infinity head unit with the option to control CD, but i got no CD changer, how hard is it to install a CD changer to the car? DO i need to use the stock CD changer unit?

Are there any other head units that will fit the eclipse?

Your best bet is to get an aftermarket HU, it will outperform the stock unit in every aspect and gives you the option to expand your system in the future if you want. Look into Kenwood, Alpine, and Pioneer...they are some of the best as far as sound processing goes.

Otherwise, if you're set on staying stock...pick-up a used stock changer and the cable needed to hook it up. That's all you need. One plug and you're set to go.

If you absolutely insist on installing the stock CD changer, the only thing you're gonna gain is...a CD changer! There's no way you're gonna get better sound by adding a simple stupid CD changer. Plus, unless you get it in a scrap yard, the OEM one will cost you the price of a new HU+installation!!! The advantages of an aftermarket over Infinity HU are:

-more power=better, more stable sound
-easy access CD player-->possibility of "CD changer" w/ MP3 decoder built-in (over 150 songs on 1 CD with less sound quality)
-outputs for power-amplifier add-on
-more options
-today's decks look HOT!

Don't get the Infinity CD changer! Get any brand Beef Jerky suggested. I recommend Pioneer. Get yourself aftermarket speakers from Infinity (Reference serie) and you're set to cruise downtown!!! Adding a sub, even just one 10", will change your sound!

Whatever you choose, get everything installed by a pro! Don't toy with waranties!
