Help Me !! Proj.style headlights on 97' Tsi

I want to get a set of projection-style headlamps on my 97 Eagle Talon Tsi, the only think holding me back is the gap I'll have on the inside part. I am very picky about the fit and finish, I like to have a clean orginal look.

Any suggestions, on what I could do to fill the gap ? Has anyone been in my situtuation ? (Keep in mind I don't want to change my front bumper)

If you don't want to change your front bumper you could take your car into a body shop with the new lights installed and have them custom fit the bumper to match.

i always wonder why they dont make any other sort of aftermarket lights for the talons

are the 97&98 talon lights the same as the 97-99 eclipse front lights in the fit?

the fit is the same until you get to the inside. The inside of the eclipse headlights cut down, while the talons round off. Talon lights are slightly bigger. If you put eclipse lights on a talon you will have a 1 - 1.5 inch gap.

I'm still trying to find out if you can put the early lenses on the projector backs. It _looks_ like it'll fit, but until I have a set of both in my hands, I can't tell from the pictures.

The Talons never got projectors because no manufacturer has thought the market was big enough to pay for it.

you could make it fit but you'd need to seal it properly.

Have you had both sets side-by side? I'm suspicious the backs are the same outline and curvature.

95-96 Eclipses and 95-98 Talons have the same lights. The 97-99 Eclipse has different sized lights. You will have a gap unless you can find lights for the earlier cars.

like i said, you "could" make the 95-96 headlight covers fit on a 97-99 headlight. yeah, it would take some time to do, but you "can" make it fit and all.
