I was just introduced to the fact that you can make a Mitsubishi Mirage into a Evo III with a body kit. I was wondering if anyone knew a site that had that kit. Also I was wondering if anyone knows if you could swap a 4g63 6 bolt in the Mirage, and what things would you need for the swap? Engine, Tranny, ECU? Does anyone know of anyone who has done this? Or a site that explains how to do this? Does it matter which Model Mirage you get ES or DE?

why not just go to japan and buy a evo and ship it over, probably be a hell of alot easier

You won't be able to drive it legally here. Plus shipping a car from overseas cost around $1,500 plus all the taxes and stuff. I'm not sure if they have EVO III kits, but they do have V and VIs. Sorry I can't help you with the engine swap .

Its alot cheaper to just do it this way rather than getting an actual Evo. Still can't find an Evo III kit, I was looking for a wide body evo III but all I can find is a Evo V wide body. Also, what is there to do with the engine? Just the 4g63 swap? Can you even make the Mirage engine that fast?

You can do just about anything with a Mirage engine, just not in the US. Down in Puerto Rico and Australia the Mirage/Lancer is like the civic stateside. The most popular swap is a 4G63.
if you want an Evo III kit you can either get one from www.revtec.com or www.carmate.com.au US companies don't cater to the Mirage/Summit/Colt. if you want a true Evo I, II or III lookalike then you will need a '93-'96 (4G) Mirage Sedan. The Summit and Colt sedans in the US don't share the same body style as the Mirage sedan.
You should go to www.mirageforums.com I'm one of the moderators over there, and believe me, there's a LOT of info.
