I have a 95 talon and i'm thinking about installing 2 perfect 12's in the trunk.. not sure what i'm going to power it with.. i really want my trunk to look as well as sound nice so i want to build an enclosure... can anyone give me an estimate on how much it would cost for a full trunk enclosure for 2 12" subs and an amp.. not including the cost of the subs or the amp of course.... I would love some estimates or a ballpark figure so i can decide if this is worth persuing... please indicate if you are talking american or canadian dollars also..

thanks alot guys

It all depends what you are looking for. If you want something like larryd's his was around $500 american as he said, although I think that is a pretty high price. If you want fiberglass work done it will cost you more. I suggest doing some research on how to build a box and doing it yourself...you will save tons of money.

How do you want it to fit? Do you want the whole trunk taken up or do you just want the floor raised or half the trunk used? These are some more questions that would need answered before anyone could give you an estimate of what someone would charge you.

I had mine built for $120 (us) And it fits from middle ways of the trunk to the back of the seats. Up against the seats the amp is mounted and the subs are recessed and the box is ported. I and include pics if you want.

I had mine made for about $250. You can see the pics in the photo gallery. It is a PAIN to remove to race, however.

made this myself for under $100 easy. probably more like $50. it fits two 12" subs (audiobahn aw1200's in my case) and still fits under neath the hatch cover so it is invisible unless i want to show it off.

only problem is it weighs a ton since its made out of 3/4" mdf. box+subs= about 75 lbs.

Man, those audiobahns are some real beasts.... how much power are they being driven with...and just out of curiousity, how many db can they push? I'm thinking about getting a pair myself.

right now they're running off a 1 ohm memphis audio 1000 watt amp. i never got a chance to get it tested for spl. i pulled it out of hte car recently due to its weight and i'm not sure if i'm going to put it back in. i might try and sell it eventually to get some money back out of it. it should bring me $700 easy for the whole stup since its all fairly new and that would be a nice step towards a nice new fmic or something.

too bad you didn't live close, i could hook you up with a custom install man.

i'll second those audiobahn's tho. i have a aw1500x with jbl 600.1 in a 2.4 cube ported box. my box is a little too small for it and it could take a couple more 100 watts but it's still hittin close to 145 dBs......in a convertible!
