Well i got it done...

i posted a thread about 3 weeks ago, saying i was trying to do an eclipse rear convertion on my Girlfriends 97 Talon. and i was running into a bunch of problems lol well i been putting it off,and putting it off,and i finally got it done. i took some pics to show everyone the finished product. dont mind the diff. color black thats on the bumper lol or how dirty the car is, im gonna be gettin the whole car ready for paint soon. also my girlfriends jame is Jackie, her FUL name is Jacqueline, nobody calles her that lol,but she decided she wanted to take the "ECLIPSE"off the cent and put her full name there. and for a Girl car,its comming out nice.

but what i did was just went to Home Depot and bought 3 L brackets, just like everyone was tellin me to do lol, and screwed them about 4 inchs ubove the "Talon" bracket. and once we had it on there,it looked great! no gaps, and it fit flush with the car.

now all thats left it to get her a new hatch, and put the GSX "Rainbow" wing on

and if any 1 is interested,i have the talon rear bumper, and tail lights for sale. and i will have the rear hatch and Talon wing for sale soon. just gotta get her a new hatch lol

let me know what you think...did i do "OK" for my 1st eclipse rear conversion? lol

After i got the bumper off

Theres where we put the Brackets

And thas what it looks like on..

Not bad. Pull her name off, though. Too easy for someone to make her think they know her and do some shady stuff.

yea, i think well be takin it off soon. im gonna put up some pics of the interior pretty soon. i did it all Purple for her lol for a girls car it looks really good.

i wanna keep this hatch and just put her GSX wing on, but when i take the Big talon wing off, theres 2 Big Holes up by the glass,on the hatch,so i figured the only way(besides body work) would be to get a new hatch, and just put the wing on there

If she HAS to have her name on there just get a clean little vinyl cut and place it on a rear quarter window or something.

lol its gettin ready to go in for paint,so ill have to start prep'in the whole car. i just gotta get the new hatch 1st. so i can put the new wing on.

i found a guy who lives by me,hes partin his talon out, and hes giving me the hatch, window is perfect, for $20!!!!! i couldnt pass it up lol

and also on Craigslist, theres a guy who has a 96 talon ESI he turbo'd himself, but the motor has a knock lol,and he wants to get rid of the car,### he bought a new car. hes sellin it for $700,and i talked em down to $500!!! i just want it for all the parts i can swap off it and put on my GFs talon. like the Leather GSX seats he has in it
