Owner has agreed to pay under the table and he seems a nice guy. Where do you guys recommend buying parts? I would go to ebay but most body parts never fit right, should I just go to a large chain suppler like autopartswarehouse or go the the dealer?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, atleast hes going to fix it. But as for parts check out the classified ads on here. There are usually a bunch of different people parting out there cars and they should have what you need. You've been here long enough to why not through up a wanted to buy thread?

Definetly check out the classifieds here, and you're local dsm club/forums if you have one. You might even get lucky and be able to find someone parting out a car that is the same color as yours and pocket some cash from this. Goodluck.

I would make sure that you would have gotten his insurance and called the cops to file a report just in case he tries to back out and say he did not hit you, plus when people pay under the table like that they don't have ins, driver lic, or they cant afford another ticket.

Private property, non-injury, everyone sober. You don't need a license nor insurance to drive on private property. Police have nothing to do with it, and won't do a report.

Take it to the best body shop you've ever heard of and let them deal with it. If he balks, just let your insurance company handle it with his. UTT always has its risks.

9 times out of 10 it will cost you more to make a claim with the insurance company. The only reason to use insurance is if you can't come up with the cash up front. The last and only time I had a claim(because the lady refused to let me fix it and insisted on my insurance) due to a no fault accident(they pay for yours you pay for theres)my insurance went up 100 a month for 2 years and ended up costing me twice as much as the claim. You should always get there plate number, license number, and insurance info even if you agree not to use it in case they back out of the deal. Sounds like a good time to swap in 2gb headlights and front bumper.

Then go ahead and get the oem stuff. Dont go with ebay junk. Got to a reputable shop and let them order the parts.
