How do you have your harness mounted if you do not have a rollcage or harness bar? I know they are supposed to be mounted at a angle and not bolted to the floor unless you don't like your spine. I have my seats in and going to order my harnesses but how do I mount them? Thanks and pics would be a plus.

First off, if you don't have a roll bar or better, then you shouldn't be driving around in a harness.

With that said, the easiest way is to add a 4' bar between the upper seat-belt mounts on the B-pillar. This can be done while retaining the stock belts for when you aren't autocrossing.

I can't keep the stock belt due to the seat since the part you click in doesn't have anywhere to mount the bracket for it into the aftermarket seat. :toobad:

You can also buy this DGHarness

I have seen that but that's alot of coin i was trying to avoid that.
DV/DT fabrications has one for $250. I'm trying to see if I can mount it without purchasing a bar or roll cage.

The standard brackets for our cars have a mounting tab for the stock seatbelt. Note that it goes on the bracket, not the seat. If you don't have a standard bracket, drill a hole in the side of the transmission tunnel and bolt it there. That's safer, anyway, since it doesn't ask the bracket to take the force.

Do not drive on the street with a harness and no cage. One rollover could ruin your whole day. It will also fail tech (or, at least, it should) for anything beyond autocrossing.

As to making your own: it takes two hours max and about $20. Get a 4' 3/4" square tube from Lowes' and create brackets from stock.

Finally, WTR to the DGI bar... I wouldn't buy anything from a company that makes a C-pillar brace. I'd rather save my money for stickers that make my car faster. YMMV.
