Hey do you guys know if the GST/X wing have the same location bolt locations on the outside and it's just that middle support spot that would need to be plugged if you switched from non turbo to turbo wing or if it's totaluy diffrent? This is 2g

Mounting points are different. The tall wing is a single piece, the low wing is a three piece. You will have to cut new holes, and fill some old ones. Not very difficult.

Yeah old wing is off and Im debating on just leaving it like that I kingda like that look

well you have to fill the holes any ways... so just keep it wingless until you get bored of it ;)

Yeah I'm gonna fill em but I don't know about getting tired of it I like it more then I thought I would. We'll see how everything comes out. I'm not usualy the exterior kinda guy most of my money usualy went where the average person wouldn't see unless the hood was popped.

Hey, the bolt locations for the Turbo wing is already setup on all the hatches... The metal is thinner in those locations and you can easily drill them out to get the proper fitment. Open your hatch and you'll see little spots that look like a bolt will go there... but there isn't any bolt, there are 4 holes, two on each side. I have a 97 GS with a Turbo wing on it.... I took some little metal strips and held them to the backside of all the holes on the body and welded them in to fill in the holes, then sanded the metal down to make sure everything was smooth. Now the car looks exactly like a Turbo model.

Yeah I"m kinda nervous about filling the wholes I'm not ab ig body guy. Engine stuff and electrical stuff ok but I don't want to mess it up and make it look like shit. I have a friend that is good with this stuff I"m gonan hit him up see if he'll do it for me and i'll help him do something to pay him back. But I really like the way it looks.

When you lower your 2G, you will notice that when wingless the car will look wider from rear (much) and will have much better stance. With the tall wing it raises the back of the car visually and makes it look taller and kind of (to me) ricer-ish, which is not something I liked on mine, so I took it off and welded all the holes up. Also on black 2GBs, I always take the back key lock out and fill the center piece with fiberglass and bondo, sand it and paint it same black color as car. This visually splits tail lights appart and with no tall wing makes the car look much wider from behind. This was important to me since this is the part of the car that most people see while trying to catch up. I was even thinking about slapping a big screen TV on my back bumper for them to be entertained while GT42R sings it's song. Kidding about the TV.
By the way whenever you do (if you do) fill the holes, use simple coins to close off holes. They CAN be MIG welded but will cause major warpage and on one of my "dewinginating" conversions it stretched the trunk so much that back glass just shattered weeks after I painted the trunk. Out of blue. If you take it to someone, pay them and have them TIG weld the holes and it will be just fine. For now, Napa sells rubber caps that will actually fill those holes. This in comparison to using tape.
:)

Sorry to add anything irrelevant, but feel free to remove that back wiper and whole assembly as well as the motor and all. It's useless. Quarter (.25 cents) actually fits perfectly in this hole and can be welded as well. :)
