Hey, So my question today revolves around the new interior upholstry that I want to do, but I could use some advice and guidance. First of all my plan is to redo some pannels/seats in black and white suede. Now will this be a problem because I know people always say to get an automotive fabric because this could fade in the sun but would I have that problem with a suede? Secondly I am planning on reupholstering the stock 1g seats with black on the outside and white down the center. How difficult would this be to do seeing as I can't find a write up anywhere yet but will keep searching. Lastly on the stock doors I will be using a vinyl die and turning the pannels black but I wanted the bottom fabric part in white aswell. How would I go about getting that part out to upholster it. Any insight is welcome (Just please dont call me a ricer for wanting a suede interior:p )

Suede can be used in automotive applications. I had a PT Cruiser with suede/leather, and it held up well. I use JAX WAX I bought at Nopi to keep her clean. (Used to) Anyhow, doing the custom upholstery should not be too hard, and possibly could be bought pre made but custom upholstery stores.

See the thing is I'm cheap and would much rather do things myself haha. Any idea how difficult it is, the main things im worried about are the seats and the lower part of the doors...

A website I use for getting custom auto upholstery is www.diyupholsterysupply.com you can find many styles of upholstery there and it is relitively inexpensive, if you want to do it yourself then I would plan on paying probably what it will cost for someone else to do it for you because of the cost of the tools, learning books, Etc. BUT you will have gotten the tools and the knowledge to do it yourself for the price of letting someone else do it and the next time you want to upholster somthing it will be very affordable.
