In the next six months or so, I want to get the little dings and dents fixed on my beloved TSi AWD. I'm also planning on a fresh coat of paint. What do you all think would be best?

with a paint gun. that would be good. :thumb:

edit: your stock white sheme looks great. in the new carcraft magazine they do a great editorial on the body work and paint prep along with the method of painting your car. check it out.

Depending on the extent you want to go, I'll give two opinions.

#1. If you are going to "intelligent, trained professionals" who will shoot the exterior and jams of the car I would recommend a color close to the factory finish. The new eclipse has two colors I think would look good based on your factory finish ... Frost White Pearl and my favorite of the two Liquid Silver Metallic which is a very, very light silver. Why, because even if you paint the exterior and the jams the engine bay and other areas of the car will still be original color and the closer to factory the better in my opinion.

#2. If you are going to "intelligent, trained professionals" who will shoot the entire car (ie. exterior, jams, engine bay) then the skies the limit. I would say try to go as far from a factory color as possible to distinguish the car. I lot of today's paints are amazing and would really look amazing on your 1G - for example, mitsu's own UV Blue Pearl.

Either way, speaking as someone who just has a repaint, it will rekindle the love you have for your car. Best of luck.

BTW, I voted for ITR championship white.

ITR championship white. so hot, especially when contrasted with a gloss black like that
