I put a new radio in my 92 GS, i replaced the 6.5 in the rear and the 3.5 in the front. But left the 6.5 in the doors that are blown. Anytime i turn the radio up, or give it to much bass the radio will cut out. Can this problem be caused from the blown door speakers or something else.
Thanks Mike

it sounds like your more or less "overloading" the radio. is everything hooked up perfect? some of the speaker wires may be messed up somewhere or something.

ya i have everything hooked up right. Do you think the blown speakers in the doors are causing this. Do the 1g have a factory amp

I had this same problem.
I gave a it a better ground, and it helped...but still cuts out at a higher volume.
I took out my front speakers, and they where blown to hell. I replaced them...but i never tested to see it they still cut out.
personally, I think its just not taking in enough power...and not putting out enough power. I triple checked all my wires....and they are all good.
I have install lots and lots of decks...but I have never had this problem.
Let me know if you figure it out.

The speakers may be making the radio make more power than it is capable of. It is like wiring an amp that is 2ohm stable to 1 ohm it is bound to cut out. Hope maybe this will help.
