chtown,
on my 2g i have the triple guage pod and there is no clips on the back to hold it tight against the pillar i put a screw in the top to suck it in some but when u are out side and look in he front windshield u can see there is a gap almost a inch wide what do u guys do to get that bottom piece to be nice and tight???

Which brand do you have? Some are meant to overlap your original unit, others replace it. I bought a cheap autometer one and put 3 screws in it to hold it tight but then decided it looked scrapped together so went out and bought a good Lotek one which is a full replacement and looks very clean. Usually people use double sided tape and screws to hold the others tight.

If it does not take the shape of your a-pillar, Take your a-pillar out, And also the gauge pod. Get a heat gun, or a blow dryer(Well take longer to heat up the plastic).. Then heat up the pod and shape it to your a-pillar, Let it cool off and you'll be good to go.

Its a Lokteck one it is a full a pillar one supose to replace it and it dosent go in tight!! Its sucks!! LOL guess i will have to use some screws!!

i have the same piece from lotek. Their are pre drilled holes in it where you are suppose to put a screw through, one is between the lowest and middle pod, the other is between the middle and highest pod.

I have exactly the same problem with the 3-guage pillar Lotek pod I have for my Spyder. The gap is huge and you can see all the wires sticking out. Tried several screws in different positions, and nothing worked for me.

Mine fits perfectly. I mounted the new pillar and marked where to drill holes. It looks factory. It's definately not a bad product :thumb:

i had an autometer and i had to tap some screws up top just use some 1/2 to 3/4" self tapping screws and you should be all set, but let me tell you it's not very fun trying to get a power drill to stay put up top by the the top of the a-pillar but it works. remember self tapping

Gorilla Glue, this stuff is no joke. Just remember-small amounts!
Not sure if thats the best suggestion^^^, I had the same issue and did what the rest did and pre-drilled 2 holes and used a 3/4 self tapping srcew on the top and a 1 1/4 in the middle and it holds tight and can be taken off if needed for gauge changes. To top it off I used 2 screw caps that match the pillar and hides the "heads" (looks very professional )

ok this might be a bit of a shock but i bought a pod and gauges from these guys http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-9...cmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ46100QQitemZ7995752257 .. its the best gauge pod ive seen yet.. fits perfectly.. it slides down perfectly into the dash then you take one screw and put it up top.. completely sturdy.. the gauges are tinted so you cant see them too well in daylight LOL.. but the pod is great :thumb: :thumb:
