that is a quick photoshop someone did. I am thinking about getting that and painting it, but leaving the vent/raised part cf. Any other suggestions? also, if you want to photoshop it or anything, or photoshop another hood you think looks better, here are the original pic links: http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/data/500/6051nice_front_view-med.jpg

thanks for looking, and any suggestions, pics, or links are greatly appreciated! :thumb:

If you're gonna paint it at all I'd paint the whole thing, but you never know, it might look good with the raised part left alone. I guess you won't know until you try. BTW, mean lookin front end, I'm not much for crazy kits but that looks pretty damn mean :thumb:

I have the VIS hood in my guest room .. just waiting to get my car back. I bought it for looks, and for sure the functionality it will provide in helping the heat esacpe the engine bay.

As for prep, I'm gonna roll around in all CF for a while until I scratch together the money to have it painted like you had described [~ $400] .. I saw it on a Supra Invader hood and leaving the center section looked good.

Check my photo gallery sometime in early January and you'll have a good idea of what to expect

I am gonna get it at some point. I think leaving the vent cf will look sweet. I wish I had pics, but it's cool. I'll probably leave it cf too. My only concern now- is it a PITA to install the hood pins with it b/c the vent? It looks like the vent is right where most people install the pins. not sure if that'd create a problem.

No offense BUT it looks like a BIG HONDA emblem on the hood. Check out the VIS Extreme GT hood. Its a CF Vented and doesnt have a Honda emblem.

I don't think it does look like a honda emblem. I used to. It's more a V than an H. I just don't think the xtreme gt would match my front and all. I really like it tho. Just not for my car I don't think. anyone willing to p-shop it on there?

Never heard that one before? But sure, I'll go with that.

All in all, it's something different. Some will like, most will not.

The hoods look much better in person I think. I have seen some for hondas at a local shop. I really like it. Just like anything, some like it, some don't. Most of what I have on my car, 60% said no, 40% said yes, but I liked it, so I did it. I shouldn't get bashed for it. I win some car shows, and I think I have a fairly clean looking car for having graphics, etc. Some cars don't look clean at all with graphics. I think this is the hood for the front I have. The vent really flows with the curves in the front imo. :thumb:

By no means was my intent to "bash" you. I was merely stating my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. If you like it - roll with it.
