photo Just found the seats ive been looking for! HELP MOUNTING

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...it+racing+seat

I like them alot better then APC or Tenzo R and they are pretty well priced. Does anyone know how to mount these seats though?

Well I just found out they come with silders, Im guessing my best bet is to go to a machine shop and have some brackets made for them?

If im not mistaken (and i dont think i am) , those are rsx type s seats, i was JUST sitting in one, like 10 minutes ago, starring at the design, because i like them. So from what i can see, those are rsx seats, very nice and comfortable!

these are made by summitt i believe. Just cut off your stock brackets then weld them on those seats. other wise buy a set of universal brackets and instal them. These will most likely be a custom instal

do sliders bolt to the bracket or do you have to weld them to the bracket. also how do you think racing seats like this would be for a 2 hr drive to orlando?

would that be possible to get embroidered like that without taking the cloth off the seat?

I just bought these same seats last week. Except mine are a black/red combination. These are not RSX seats are are also not made by Summit. They are mas produced by a private manufacturer and sold everywhere. I got mine off of eBay for $280 shipped. They are exactly like these except for a few spots of red. I like them alot. I'm currently having my Tenzo brackets modified at a machine shop to make these fit.

With my R1 seats, I got a set of Honda civic brackets. They bolt to the seat, then needed a little modification to get them to bolt to the floor. I don't recomend this, it wasn't fun.

A machine shop could make you a set of brackets really fast. They will need your factory bracket and new seats and sliders to do it though. I know there are a few companies that make brackets for us. You could get those and use them. The hardest part is getting the bracket to line up with the floor. Getting the seats to bolt to the bracket won't be a problem.

I agree with you about the shipping. I'd rather pay more for the part just to get an accurate shipping quote. I hate to see everyone on ebay selling their stuff for $3 and charging $400 to ship it. Sounds kinda stupid....

But, do the math. Ebay is $280 shipped for a pair of seats. Summit wants $200 per seat. eBay is still cheaper by over $100.

Almost every well know seat manufacturer....
Tenzo, Corbeau (sp?), Cobra, Sparco, etc.....
Tenzo's usually are the cheapest. Somewhere around $50 for a pair. They will have to be modified though....

Dude, you need to quit being an ass and read. Summit sells them individually for $214. That means $428 shipped for a pair. I just paid $279.95 shipped for the same $hit!! That's a $148 dollar difference.

Some people are more worried about sucking nuts and licking ass and cant even rear the black and white in front of them.

I could care les where you shop. I just wanted to make the thread starter aware that the same product was offered on eBay.

Not everything that comes off eBay is shit.

They lower the initial price but boost up the shipping a little more to compensate for it. I would definitely sport those eBay seats. 280 a pair, shit.

Alright Alright, I humbly withdraw my comment, just was excited summit had it cheaper, didn’t realize it was a pair.

Are you sure they are the same seats, if so its a good deal to go eBay.

if i were to buy those seats, what would be the best way to get brackets for them? Get universal brackets and have them modified at a machine shop, have your stockers welded to the seats, or go with tenzo r's and modify them?
