I am trying to find a way to mount two auto meter guages somewhere else. I have them on the a piller but i want to move then somewhere people cant easily see them. I was thinking under the radio but i dont think that they will fit under my radio , just curious to see ho creative you guys are and trying to get some more idea.

My friend's setup he made. I'm going to make one just like it and get rid of my a-pillar. He even directed the side he blocked off so that all the air/heat would come out of the one vent. Cuz there's no way i'm gettin rid of both my vents.

wow, ill take one of those. i also wanted a guages in my center piece like that but im not willing to give up both my a/c/heat vents like that.

Here are my gauges

Here is my AFC

I'll post another pic of the secret gauges and radio set up later, its not finshed yet.

cops used to give me crap when i had my boost gauge on the A-pillar so i moved it to the air vent on the door so no one could see it but me :p ... i popped out the air vent, traced it on the smooth side of an extra mud flap i had laying around, traced the gauge in the center, cut it all up and popped the mud flap piece directly where the vent used to be. Wire up the gauge through the door and blocked off the pipe bringing air to the door and I had a functional boost gauge that only the driver can see and it looks real good IMO. Wish i had pics of it, but its pretty self explanitory :thumb:

*edit* oh and btw despite popular belief, i can see the gauge perfectly fine in that location

This seems to come up every week,

The usual alternatives are
-Center vent area
-bezel around the gauge cluster
-under the radio by the cig lighter area
-over the drivers side vent in the door

i could make that no prob -- my only issue with it- is the factory buttons are gone

To hell with the back wiper and defrost, I plan to shave the wiper off before I paint it eventually. Just re-locate the hazards for inspection purposes and it'll make me happy and my car legal.

well i been going round and around and i figure stop putting so much into this and i ordered the auto meter dash bezel . I figure that still looks good and people cant easily see it so thats cool . Thanks ebay !

thanks for replys guys :thumb:

He relocated his buttons which was no problem to do and he's an rs so there was no rear wiper all he had to move were the defrost and hazards. You can see where he moved the defrost to in the pic its the black dot (little push button switch) right above the AC controls.
