Tar removal

Okay i have tar all over my car for some stupid reason like im talking bad tar and i want to know what i should be using to remove it safely


i know clay bar will but i dont have time to go over it with a clay bar

When working with tar we always used vegtable oil to get it off our hands and stuff.
The oil kind of dilutes it enough to wipe off. It would be worth a try.

Many of the wax companies make tar removers, just take a gander on the racks at the parts shop. Most are a kerosene-base. The sooner you get after it, the easier it'll come off.

Wd-40 always worked for me, never did any harm to the paint.

My armour all all purpose cleaner says it removes tar.. i dunno.. just spray it on, maybe let it set for a minute or two then wipe it off..

I have a feeling the tar removers and wd40 will be far more effective.

i used bug and tar remover...go figure...they fix our pot holes with this shit ass mix of assphalt and whatever else and one time it got all over my car, i was pissed...the bug and tar remover removed my wax job though

Turtle Wax makes a really nice Bug & Tar remover. It's like $5 and it's the only thing that works for me. I've never tried WD40, but a few of my friends used it and liked the results.

I did not read all the posts, but when I got my Laser I had tar and some brown stuff, that looked like liquid nails goop. Somehow, someone, had driven thru this crap.

Well I got the old faithful, Turtle Wax, Bug and Tar remover. I hadn’t used it in years, and remembered it as a clear liquid. This stuff was like a wax, and it worked great! Rub it on and wipe it off. Took some time, but it removed the stuff really good, and did not hurt the paint!
