Gauge Cluster Bulbs????

i think those are the same kind of bulb for a ford explorer dash - the ford dealer might let you buy just a couple.. or at least look at them...

Satan wont sell just the bulbs. The bulbs come with the purchase of a new cluster only. And that is way out of the question for me. :dsm:

Dickless bunch of bastards. Welp, a used cluster off eBay will have them. Or, pillage a hulk at a junkyard.

One thing I'm unclear on- are the bulbs supposed to come out of those twist-mounts? I have one here I've kinda been experimenting with, and can't get it out. I'm not brave enough to grab it hard enough to snap it and drive shards into my fingertips, and I know it won't hold up to pliers, but it seems to start to come out, then stop.

Just buy some led's and put them in the place of your stock bulbs.....

Yeah, LED's is what I previously used, and they were incredibly dim. I just want to go back to the bulbs again, but I think mine got thrown away.

Thanks for all the info guys. :thumb: I'm gonna try a junk yard and if I come up short, I'll head to eBay and bid on a 1G n/a cluster...... :dsm:

Some do,and some dont, trz the gm dealer(Cadillac Catera has simular if not same bulbs)

I see that you used led's and they were dimm. I just installed some 12V led's on the plastic steering colomn that aim at the gauge cluster from there. THis way they are extremly bright but this mod takes a couple of hours. the cool thing is that the shape of the steering column cover aims the leds perfectly at the gauges when installed flush.
Try this its a little bit of work but its super trick. I'll try to get a pic soon.

i had the same problem, i bought the "reverse glow guages" off ebay...all i can say is WOOOOW

They pull straight out, but good luck getting them to do it in one piece. I've used jewelists' flathead screwdrivers to slowly pry up at the base of the bulb with some success, but most of mine ended up coming out the hard way.

Good thing those LED replacements fit. ;)

Yes, but the LEDs are a bit long for a few of the gauge cluster locations; you'll need to shave them down just a bit to get a decent fitment.

But otherwise the intensities are fine? Or are they too dim?

Yeah those are exactly the same ones I used. The focused Lense LED's. Here's a pic below. These were really dim for me, and I think I had like 7 or 8 of them wired up.
