hey guys....so i found a guy that sells star stage I kits for 1899 shipped. just wondering if anyone has heard of Imoto.com, cause thats where i would get it from. if nobody has heard of them, then is there any way i can verify that they exist and are legitimate.....thanks:dsm:

Star kits are Drag kits. Almost anyone can become a drag dealer.

Go to the link below and order from ARD. It's in the "Star ordering info" thread. I posted a number. Give them that price and see if they will match.

Imoto is the same as ImportParts.com. they are in california, we have ordered a BUNCH of stuff from them (through our shop, KLR) and have always had great service. thats where my star kit came from. they price match also.

ok.....when you got your star kit, were there any problems? did you have to custom fabricate anything? did you get the Tial wastegate?

The only thing you may have to custom fab with the stage 2 is the O2 sensor flange in the downpipe. Some kits come with them in the right place and some had to relocate it because it hit the oil pan. There will be some problems with any turbo install. I have never heard of a problemless install, something will happen. You will find a bolt that won't come off or a part you forgot to get beforehand.... etc..etc. You can buy a tial wastegate but unless there is a new design the kit comes with the deltagate 2.

so, the last few days ive talked to the guys over at imoto in depth about the ordering process. they gave me a great price with all of the options that i am looking for (greddy type-s bov, tial wastegate, triple gauge pod w/ a/f, boost, and oil pressure autometer gauges)... so im pretty psyched about this. im gonna get the stage I, and then after i get an exhaust and metal head gasket, i will do the interval upgrade to the fmic. i plan on ordering my kit at the end of april. ill let everyone know how it goes! hopefully well..... :dsm:

with my kit the FMIC has to be the part that's still giving me trouble. I haven't re-attached the bumper yet since I have to take it out and notch part of it for the IC piping but it still sits crooked as all hell and I can't figure out why...at least it runs haha
