What turbo is best for me?

Hey guys;
I'm in the process of building a motor for the Talon. It's a complete rebuild, 8.8:1 compression, fully built head (already on), bunch of other goodies and MegaSquirt. Anything else like fuel is being taken care of also. I'm running this T3/4 turbo from a 88 Thunderbird and I know nothing about it though. This is what she looks like...

I can't find much info on it and I didn't measure everything.

Now, I'm looking to put down 300-400whp in the end. This turbo I'm pretty sure will run ~15psi without any problems, but I'm sure it won't get me in that 300+ range. I've been searching around and seeing what's out there and not really sure what turbo option would help me get there. I want to stay with a t3/4, since that's how the manifold is flanged and don't want to make adapters or anything.

What do you guys recommend?

300-400whp is too wide of a range in my opinion, narrow it down to 300-350 and 351-400
I do believe they sell pretty big compressor wheel upgrades for those turbos and probably turbine as well.

Ok well let's try splitting it up, from 300-350, then 351-400... what would be best for each.
I'm not familiar too much with rebuilding turbos to bigger sizes or whatever. How does all that entail? Just buying a new housing and the wheels?

the "disc potato" as it's called is a good choice for lower power. If your looking for 350 to 400, perhaps a 50 trim is better suited for your needs. You could look into a Holset H1C from a pre 91 cummins if your looking for cheap power.

Was actually looking at these earlier in the week. These were from a big diesel motor right? Seems like there's a couple variations of those too.

What are the dimensions on a 50 trim?

I found a Turbonetics 54trim on ebay and decided to go with that. I know it's kind of large but the price was right (needed a rebuild which I did no problem). I have all the dimensions at home. I guess it's comparable to a 20g, just a little bigger. I originally wanted to go with a 20g, so I'm hoping this works out for me in the end.
