I have a 96 eagle talon ESi with a 420a motor/5 sp. I'm wanting too turbo, but have a couple questions. I've started getting some parts for it like a turbo manifold from a 96 turbo eclipes, another stock non turbo 420a manifold (cut the flanges off both and weld the non turbo flange too the turbo one). A turbo from a 91 GST eclipes, fm intercooler and lots of bend for piping, fuel injectors from a 96 GST eclipse, Vortech FMU, walbro 255 pump, TurboXs RFL bov. Do i need too get a ECM from a turbo car also? And who makes a good adj FPR for this kind of swap and what PSI would you guys recomend too set it at. Also is there any other stuff i need too complete this that i'm not thinking of?

Also what motors can in the 1G non turbo eclipse and talons with the 2.0 DOHC motors, where they also 420a motors of what?

Thanks for any info or help

no it wont work

the vortech fmu is a fpr. you already got that so stick with it. otherwise a sfmu from vortech.

oil lines, downpipe and flanges, gauges, vaccume lines. you also need to modify the wastegate to open at a lower boost level. you also need a missing link or fcd

no they were the 4g63

Cool, thanks for the info, so with the Vortech FMU, what ratio do i need and will it work ok with the stock injectors in my car now?

And the 4g63 in the 1G Non-turbo cars, are they the same as the ones in the turboed cars, but without the beefyer internal conponites? There's several of those non turbo 1G 2.0 DOHC motors at my local junk yard.

Also, can you install the crank/ rods/ and aftermarket forged pistons from a 2.4 DOHC motor in a 2G 420A or a 1G 4g63 motor?

you should get the 12:1 ratio if your on stock injectors

same as the turbo's except no turbo(Duh), weaker pistons, no oil squirters, no knock sensor, less aggressive intake cam, ect. ect. now, you better not ask if you can swap that in or you will be beaten

which 2.4 DOHC engine are you talking about? well either way they cant be installed in those engines, but you can swap a 2.4 from a sebring or cloud car into your car with some modification

Cool, i was going too swap one in my car, don't worrie, just asking (info, new too the DSM stuff).

This may sound like a dumb question, but what are the cload cars? Are they the startus, curius, breeze?

Ok, i know that the intake and the exhaust are on the oppisite sides on the 2.4 in the cload cars, can i put my 2.0 DOHC head on the 2.4 DOHC motor?

i thought the 2.4 canidates were SOHC, but yes you are suppse to swap your DOHC head onto the 2.4

Theres' probly both SOHC and DOHC 2.4. I've got a friend with a 97 dodge stratus with the 2.4 DHOC motor, but the intake is on the front and exhaust is on the back side, so i was just wondering if my 2.0 talon DOHC head would swap on or not or if you had too do any mods too it.

What piston do the 2.4 DOHC motors have in them (cast or hyper)?

So n/a stock injectors are ok when accompanied by walbro 255 and 12:1 FMU?
one more thing, what manifold do i look for if i'm using a 14b on my 420A? all i can find are mani's for t3 or t3/t4.

I've been turbo on stock injectors for over 40k miles and still running fine. I just use a walbro 255 and sfmu. I used to have an fmu but it sucks. There are some guys on 2gnt.com that make manifolds
