Ok guys here is the story.... i mad a turbo setup for my 98 eclipse 420a motor and i didn't get the right fuel system which cost me a lot ...i fried my pistion rings and the car was running like sh*t. :thumbdown ... so i sold my setup and i bought an engine with 50k miles on it ....
now....
i'm going to boost this motor but i wanna do it right this time no rush .....
so far i have a star manifold with a t3 turbo bolt on to it i know what i need already cuz i boosted my car before the only problem that i really need help with is the fuel system....any of you guys that boosting a 420a help to make my car run right with the right fuel to run on stock internals and i'm going to boost 8psi ...... i tried to read other articles but i got a few info but I stil don't know what i'm going to use yet. For sure i don't wanna mess it up this time ......guys help me thank you .....tell me what the best to do to make the car run good ....

thanks alot for these information i really was looking for ....i was just wondering by doin these steps i'm not going to any fpr except the fmu??

ya you wont need the stock FPR cause the FMU (example Vortex 12:1) should act as one, anyway mine seems to be working in a very simple explanation

Take off hose to return line, remove the fuel filter with the fpr(stock), run a line from the feed of the tank threw a universal fuel filter to the fuel rail, than on all 96+ there is a test screw on the end of the fuel rail you want to remove it and fit the "AN" bolt into the hole, run the line from there to the FMU than from there to the return line on the tank

hmm..thats odd i thought ur suppose to keep ur stock fmu when ur useing just the vortech fmu but if ur using the sfmu then u can take the stock fmu out of the picture because the sfmu can adjust idle fuel pressure..a buddie of mine with the star stage 2 still has his stock fmu conected with the vortech fmu...kinda odd.

ya your actually correct sorry bout that sfmu and fmu i refer to as being the same stuff
it tells you all the directions on that 2gnt page, they use a sfmu and they take out the stock FPR.
