Well this is it! A little while ago I bought the star stage II kit and now it's almost done being installed, check out my car domain site at http://www.cardomain.com/id/jimmy169 for more info and some pics.

Let me know wha u guys think! Can't wait to have boost, jus worried about how the engine will hold up!

Niceee! You going to install some upgraded injectors right away? Or stick with the stockies for a while? If you stick with the stockies don't go above 7psi, any more and NOT ENUF FUEL!! :p

Everything will hold up fine if your engine and tranny is healthy (stock clutch may go bye bye soon though), just dont get too boost happy like I did and crank it past 10 pounds.

I won't even buy a boost controller for it cause I don't trust myself not to get boost happy! I'll def. leave it the way it was meant to be and hope everything holds up but for now I am paying off this kit and saving up for the howell bottom end rebuilt. Once I get that (prob next years project) then I can up the boost and replace some things ;)

That FMIC looks sweet as hell, I cant wait to get it. Im just waitin for the my credit card to arrive this week. What kind of injecters should you get to upgrade too.

My stock injectors began to fail after a few months at 7lbs of boost (75,000 miles on the injectors). I noticed they were going bad when I started to see I was going lean, so I swapped them for bigger ones immediately. I then installed the Hahn 310cc injectors, which are good up to around 12lbs of boost.

thanx, did u also get an s-afc. I'm thinking of getting injectors and an s-afc and then go to a dyno and tune. When I get the injectors, can I just slap em on or is there any tuning i need to do?

Nope, nor will I ever get an s-afc for my car, too many other turbo 420a's have told me it phucks with timing. All I have been using is the Vortech S-FMU, which is a manually adjustable fuel pressure regulator (and not a piggyback, an actual FPR replacement). It allows tuning of a bunch of fuel parameters (static fuel pressure, boost curve, etc, etc). The SFMU is all you need when staying around stage 2 boost levels (and maybe a little beyond also).

When I get larger injectors and crank up the boost I'm going to be going with the 8-injector setup however. Atleast that's the plan thus far...

I was thinking of getting the 500cc's in case I ever got a bottom end rebuilt and uped boost a lot. Also many people are recommending I get the s-afc and dyno tune it right away. If you dyno tune though, won't that make everything just right and safe? Thanx for the advice and info by the way :thumb: Need all the help i can get.
