hi first off i know about search but since i think there have been a few new products released recently im going to ask again

what are my best bets for a quick HP and torque boost other than FI or N20, nitrous is out of the question cause i have a higher mileage engine to begin with and i dont wanna screw around with that

turbo is an option but since im 17 saving up for a turbo hurts.. so any products you guys like please let me know so i can do the math

thanks

cold air intake
under drive pulley (supposedly)
cam gears
cam shafts
cat-back exhaust
header
bored throttle body
ported/polished intake manifold

forgot to mention like 1500 spending limit :\

are the top and bottom end kits available from Howell worth the money?

Hey. I know what you are going through. I am 18, going into college, and I am on a major spending limit. Ive had my car for about 2 years now, and I have had no prob saving up for intake, exaust, and header. My next investment is going to be cam gears, and pulley kits. Anyone know a good place to look for these?

Racer-X - yeah thats what i mean... the way i see it i kill 2 birds with 1 stone im approaching 90k miles on my engine and a bottom end rebuild and/or top end rebuild would lengthen the life of my engine... turbo was a thought like i said but decreased engine life, poorer gas mileage, and the like just make it not too appealing

yeah it's a good way to go building the top and bottom end, but it's going to run you just as much as a trubo kit if not more. your looking a balancing your engine, replacing rods, cams, cam gears, pistons, valves, springs, retainers, gaskets, bolts, porting if you want max power and staying n/a, add it up........ its going to hurt... oh and i forgot labor.

yes it's a good way to go but it's not any less expensive.
