Today (after my car got broken into) I needed to buy some stuff at Auto Zone. I saw this rubber intake hose that would work perfect with my intake. I took off the pvc pipe that was on there and replaced it with the rubber one. It placed the filter right over my air inlet hole that I modified. Just perfect I say. But something was missing. A Heat Sheild! So I looked in my garage for any kind of bend-able matterial. I found a box of old used license plates. I thought maybe this will work. So i cut some out, bent some. And rigged this up. It actually works and keeps some heat away from the filter. Damm Im Ghetto. But a true DSM'er:thumb:

Its not all the way around it. Just kind of looks that way. I have all the plastic junk out from the hole. The jug thing is gone. Now this is how I have it rigged up now.

So I should put my hacked air box back on? I dont see how it would be hurting it like that. It's not so close to the header and fans so it doesnt catch all the hot air.

take out ur plastic intercooler, make the hole bigger and add a duct to scoop cold air into ur filter..thats how i did my custom ram air set up. :thumb:
