2.4 Liter Spyder Engine Swap to 2.0 Liter 4G63T???

Hey guys....this question may have already been asked.....
If so I am sorry.....but really need this answered
I have a 1997 Eclipse Spyder GS and the engine if just about shot....
I would really like to just swap out the 2.4 liter gs and swap in a 2.0 liter 46g3 turbo engine.....
Is this possible? Easy swap? What modifications to i need to do if any? Can I use the exisiting tranny?
Please....ANY and ALL information would be greatly appreciated.....

Im not a pro on this topic, but I dont see why it would be a problem. I know that the 4G63 guys use the crank from your car to stroke their engines and that the two engines are close. In fact you can actually turbo your spyder with the stock turbo components. I would post this question in the turbo forum.

Thanks for your input man......I am really dumb when it comes to engines....ok everyone start laughing whatever....but i am learning....
I was thinking about the turbo....but my engine is really bad right now....and has very high mileage....so i just assume do the swap....
but again thanks for the input and I will post this is the turbo forum....

it's very simple to bolt on a turbo to a gs spyder using gst parts, also very affordable....but if what you really need is a new engine than that's not the way to go. it should be a simple swap to put in a 4g63 turbo..you'll prolly need the matching tranny as well tho.
