Charlotte,
Hey, I was searching for certain exhausts and I came upon the Apexi RS Style Dual Muffler at www.visionautodynamics.com and I have a few questions for you exhaust buffs out there. Here is the description.

DESCRIPTION:
APEXI RS Style Stainless Steel Dual Muffler w/3.5x5" Tip, L 22.5"

What does the 22.5 mean? Is that the length of the pipe? If this was added to a n/a 98 gs along with a CAI and a header, would it sound good?? Please help guys, I am trying to slowly learn more and more about the Eclipses and your help would be greatly appreciated.

The Price is $109.00

I'm quessing total length. In my opinion that would look like crap. I doubt it would sound good. But, you never know. I put a Flowtech Afterburner muffler on my Laser and it sounds awesome. Only $50, plus $30 to install. Only like 17" long, alluminized. Back to the muffler on hand.. I just don't think that would look good. To me, it looks like a cheap rip off. And for $109 it just doesn't really seem like a good muffler. But, it's your car. So, do what you want with it. I wouldn't but it though. Just my .02 cents

And another thing. Since your car is a GS, a 420A, it has small piping stock. So it would be best to replace the piping too. Or you could just get stock exhaust off a 2g GST. I have heard it sounds great and looks good too. Should be pretty cheap too, should bolt right up. Just another idea.

Thanks man, I will take that into consideration. I am also thinking about going with a flowmaster 60 series exhaust sytem that is $248 for the full cat-back and it sounds awesome.

Stock GS piping from the cat back isn't small. At 2.25" it's fine for preserving low end while still flowing well.

Andrew,

No biggie :). It's probably a little smaller (like 2") on the 1G DSM's, but 2G's are as I mentioned in my post above.

Be cool!

Andy
