hey, im starting my all motor project now and i need some opinions on what the best cams and valve springs with retainers are, im looking to go 272 on both sides with the cams, also about how much would it cost me to get my head ported and polished, thanks guys.

im not to knowledgable about that part of the engine, but i think crower cams and valves, valve springs would be your best bet.

yea thats what i was looking at, i was going to go with the crower valve spring and get hks 272 cams and hks cam gears

when i was at the local machine shop dropping off more parts for my rebuild i heard an interesting story. the guy said to be careful when porting the valves and using aftermarket springs and that some times springs are too big and the head studs wont fit or somthin like that. dont know exaclty what this means or if its true just a heads up though
