I'v decided to scrap my type S and role with a SSQV but i have a quick question. ive been told that the SSQV is hella loud when it's vented into the atmosphear, so i was wondering if it will still have a decent volume even if its being resurculated and not vented?

You can definitely hear it when it's recirculated. It's much louder than a stock valve is when recirculated.

What made you decide to scrap the type s and switch to a ssqv? Im doing the reverse, removing a ssqv for a type s.

A couple of weeks after I bought my ssqv and was venting it, I bought a recirculation fitting to recirculate. When I was venting, it was extremely loud due to the whistle-like fitting that gives it that signature ssqv sound. I took off the recirculation fitting and put back the original fitting after driving it around for a while. Venting does not make my car idle weird, but I think that varies differs from car to car. Also, I'm driving an automatic so venting doesn't affect driveability as much as it might with a manual car. However, I think that if you want to recirculate you should just get something like the type RS. Not much point getting the ssqv and then recirculating it imho.

I just thought I'll mention this but I've got a recirculation fitting that I would like to get rid of for just $10 and shipping if anyone is interested. It's $12 plus some major shippping from HKS :thumb:
